BUBUR CHA CHA

ASSALAMUALAIKUM.....






terfikir jugak kenapa nama bubur cha cha ? tak tahu pulak dari mana asal usul chacha ni. dengar cerita ia dari sejenis dessert dari masakan nyonya . dan wani tengok ada pelbagai variasi bubur cha cha. selalu beli je bubur cha cha ni hihi padahal senang je nak buat .hari itu wani beli la yang kering ni nak try buat la.. punyalah mudahnya nak buat kita yang berkira sangat nak beli :D.. selalu time bulan puasa je beli sebab nak makan portion yang sikit kan.kalau buat seperiuk dah memang tentu tak habis.. jadi kali ini wani buat la ..emm sedap rasa lemak - lemak santan dan cha cha tu sekali tengok macam cendol .. cuma wani tak letak sweet potato .tak ada stok.emm bonda pun cakap macam makan cendol je alahai bonda...wani letak nisan plus gula pasir sikit. lepas tu suai rasa la ikut kemanisan yang nak. terima kasih sudi share resepi ni..walau senang macam nak buat bubur kacang, wani refer jugak dekat resepi ni. :)).thank you!



BUBUR CHA CHA

Ingredients:
200gm dried cha cha
A bowl of thick coconut milk (may add additional thin coconut milk if necessary)
Sweet potatoe (keledek..preferably the yellow one),
diced Sugar
A pinch of salt
Pandan leaf


Method:
1. Boil dried cha cha and sweet potatoe seperately until softened.
2. Combine coconut milk, sugar and salt in a casserole and let simmer for a while. Stir so as not to let the mixture get crumbled.
3. Add in softened cha cha and sweet potatoe. Let simmer and adjust the sweetness.
4. Put in the pandan leaf, stir a while and you are done.
I was supposed to put the yellow sweet potatoe in the porridge but unfortunately I couldn`t get one. They were out of stock. I managed to get the white one anyhow. Why yellow ??..Well..just to add more colours to the porridge actually. As you can see, the cha cha itself is already multicolors..and why sweet potatoe??..The cha cha is made of flour and almost tasteless if we only use cha cha..by adding sweet potatoe or anything like banana, pumpkin, sukun, tapioca etc..may vary the taste in the porridge. All is up to you..mine is just a serving suggestion.

Wani tenghaari ni rasa macam nak makan bubur caca ni lah how!!! dah terasa kat lidah ni heee pos kan ekk semangkok je nk share dngn pak Hubby ni heee, sedap ni selalu jumpa time pose je kan..
